During the apprentice ceremony on July 28, 2023, IHK President Jens Warnken presented both Hamburger Containerboard and Dunapack Packaging with the IHK seal for excellent apprenticeship quality. Both companies were certified with this seal by the Cottbus Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) because, in addition to the 15 mandatory criteria, they were able to meet 20 excellence criteria in each of the company's divisions. Jens Warnken confirmed in his speech on the occasion of the seal presentation: "This award not only recognizes the outstanding appenticeship, but also the wide range of development opportunities offered to future skilled workers by the group of companies. As a reliable employer and pioneer in sustainability, they have held an important position in the region for over 18 years. We congratulate them on this well-deserved success!" The managements of both companies are also pleased with the seal for excellent apprenticeship quality at the Spremberg plant. The awards confirm: We are two great and future-proof companies, which provide our apprentices with an optimal basis for their further professional development in our group of companies.
