Hamburger Turkey Ltd., part of Hamburger Containerboard, has purchased a new paper machine from Valmet for its recently announced paper mill project in Kütahya, Turkey. The Valmet machine will have a width of 7,80m and an annual production capacity of 480.000 tonnes containerboard. It will produce mainly light-weight Testliner and Fluting. “With Valmet we already had positive experience in the past. The environmentally friendly technology
and the outstanding production capabilities convinced us to partner up again. With the singing of this contract the next milestone of our capacity expansion in Turkey(Küthaya) has been realized.” said Harald Ganster, MD of Hamburger Containerboard Division. “We are happy that one of our next Containerboard projects is on a good path. It is an important step to achieve our goal of doubling the Group in size by 2030.” added Cord Prinzhorn, CEO of Prinzhorn Group.
